Strada Kitchen is where pasta meets panini. Revamping the brand and creating an appetizing identity that invites customers to The District at Beltline Food Hall.
A culinary experience bringing the flavours from the streets of Italy to the heart of Calgary. This project reimagines the brand graphics to grow with changes in the target audience and elevate the visual identifiers. Strada YYC was originally built around bold colours intended to attract younger, hipster audiences, along with a youthful mascot graphic that played to the predicted demographic. Though the location of the food place and the customers who came with it did not align as initially intended.
Strada’s logos were simplified to help the identity be more breathable and easier to recognize. Along with the change of Strada YYC to Strada Kitchen. The refresh balances evolution with familiarity, introducing a new secondary colour palette inspired by their signature dishes. The simplification allowed the introduction of a monoline illustration that adds subtle food cues and directional guidance to the brand's graphics across both print and digital media. An adaptable pattern was created that showcases the secondary palette through spaghetti pieces, farfalle, tortellini, leaves, and a fork illustration.
