A branding project for three variations of an alcoholic beverage. In Collaboration with Garrett Poon who created the logo and labels for the bottles.
Aether is a rum brand that prides itself on its premium rum and luxurious products. Aged and bottled in the heart of Australia, our products are crafted in impeccable condition like it is fit for the gods themselves. The name Aether came from the fifth element, the material that fills the void, the quintessential air breathed by Olympians themselves.
We are the quintessential rum that everybody craves.
For our advertisement strategy, since it's a luxury limited edition product, we would approach the audience with a PR list invite-only event in Eureka 89. With breathtaking views over Melbourne, this appeared to be the best location to host our event. We also created a simple catalogue with four descriptions and information about each bottle's taste, design, inspiration, and relation to the gods.
Here are some other renders of the bottle and leather case designs with the labels. Considering shipping, packaging, and how these products could physically exist, we chose to do a leather case with a magnetic closer so there wouldn't be any hinges that could be easily damaged.
The black leather case has a white leather rim on the seams to protect the edges of the cylindrical case. There's satin fabric wrapped around a foam interior to protect the delicate bottles through shipping. With the overall shape, it was best to choose a cylinder so the bottle could be protected 360 degrees instead of possibly bumping into corners in a rectangular case.
The bottle base design is our regular Aether bottles, with additional "sculptural" designs that wrap around the bottle. The spiced rum and clear rum have an interior design relating to the gods themselves, a small edition of flame and tornado for those who drink the rum.
