A collection of object designs, modelling, and projects that contain the use of CAD programs, 3D renders, printers, and laser-cut technology.
In my exploration of object design and fabrication, I've learnt how to think outside of the box more often. It helps a lot with packaging and signage design considerations, as well as with perspective improvements for designs in general.

Sketches and Concept
Memorial Earring Set; Ember McLain, 2021
Created as part of a memento mori class project, I researched the backstory of a deceased character and used it as inspiration for a memorial art piece. Drawing inspiration from the character design of the 'Danny Phantom' animated series, I created sketches, mood boards, and papers that explored the punk era, culture, and attire. As a memorial piece, it seemed fitting to make a memorial piece inspired by the punk era style with hints of Ember's essence within the ear cuff.

From the blue flame, characters make up, and angular accessories. I've created this memorial earring set to celebrate the life and death of Ember McLain. To learn more about this project, please contact me for further details.

Melting Watch Ring, 2022
Inspired by Salvador Dalí's The Persistence of Memory painting, I wanted to create a modern and simplified version as a ring design. From creating a flat design as a vector to extruding and bending the design into a 3-dimensional project, I've created renders of a dual colour ring. And later manufactured through a metal 3D printing method into a physical wearable jewelry.

Aether Rum Bottle Design, 2022
For this project, I created four bottle designs for the 100th anniversary of a rum brand. I created the base in Rhinoceros with lofting circles and shelling the overall shape. Then the exterior spirals, I create in rhinos for the Earth gem design, water simulation from Blender, candle design and interior flame created in Zbrush and Blender, and finally, the air bottle design was created in Blender and Rhino.

Brick and Mortar Example
Blackmore Store Design, 2022
Understanding a brand and target audience is only a part of the process. In creating this concept brand, I wanted to showcase how customers perceive the store in a mall. From the mannequin display that protrudes into the mall to draw consumers to the 360-degree view of an outfit, to the brick-and-mortar advertising, to walking into the store and experiencing the display.

It was a unique process of putting myself in the customer's shoes and building this store from a consumer perspective rather than a brand owner's. To learn more about this project, please contact me.
Reverse Engineering; Scizzors, 2020
For this project, we took a real-life object and measured part by part to recreate a digital version with Rhinoceros. I chose a pair of scissors to recreate, although it's a simple 5 piece object it was a challenge to measure without being able to take it apart. Along with the small curved parts on the scissor blade cuttings, screw detailing, and of course the letter engravings. Overall it was a fun yet challenging project to learn what reverse engineering an object is like through CAD programs.
