The project was to create a business to consumers brand, to develop the brand identity and advertising campaign to accompany it.
Blackmore is a minimalist grunge apparel store. Created specifically for those who grew up with grunge that would like to spice up their new 9-5 dress codes. Our target audience is specifically women who live in North America ages 20-35 years old working in office jobs, particularly in creative roles.
The name Blackmore originated from an old British surname, inspired by the 70s punk era aesthetic from Britain. I wanted to create a store with a simplistic yet unique layout that extrudes outside the regular rectangular design. In a mall setting, I could see this layout working near an entrance so there’s nice visibility of the mannequin display.
For the campaign, I wanted a simple look since it’s a minimalist grunge brand. Using a sketch on top of a photographed garment, I created a straightforward insight into how the clothes are a different take on typical clothing.
